Custom aluminium casting

Aluminium is light and versatile. It can suit prototypes, functional components and designs where weight and shape matter. We help translate an idea or drawing into a castable aluminium piece.

How does it work?

01

A component that fits and works

For technical castings, we look at the intended use, dimensions, fixing points and quantity. A photograph helps convey shape; a drawing or 3D model helps us assess fit. An existing component may also be a starting point for reproduction or modification.

02

The method follows the project

Shape and quantity influence the choice of mould and any machining required. Together we discuss the alloy, critical dimensions, visible surfaces and finish. We assess the design before proposing a price so important details are clear from the outset.

03

Send your file and intended use

Attach a CAD file, PDF drawing, photo or sketch. Include dimensions, how the part will be used and the quantity if you know them. We will let you know what else is needed for a useful proposal.

04

Specify critical dimensions and intended use

Identify the dimensions that determine fit, how the component will be attached and the loads or environment that matter. A 3D model does not always describe every functional requirement. We discuss inspection, machining and whether an initial sample would help before casting a small series.

Frequently asked questions

Can you make a single aluminium prototype?

A prototype or small series can be a suitable project. Shape, size and technical requirements determine the next steps.

Can I upload STEP or DWG?

Yes. You can attach CAD files to your enquiry. The interactive on-page 3D view supports STEP, STP, STL, OBJ, 3MF and GLB; we assess other formats ourselves.

Can you reproduce an aluminium component that is no longer available?

An existing component, fragment or drawing can be a starting point. We assess its shape, condition and functional requirements before proposing reproduction.

Can I assess one sample before proceeding with a series?

Discuss this in your enquiry. For a new design, a model or sample can help assess shape and fit before the remaining pieces are made.

What do you need for a useful price indication?

Send whatever you already have: a photograph, sketch, drawing, model or file. Dimensions, quantity, intended use and finish help us assess the production route. If anything is missing, we will ask you directly.
