Casting in practice

A one-off artwork, a fitted interior detail, a missing ornament or a working part: the intended use determines what we ask before production.

How does it work?

01

Art and interiors

A sculpture must preserve artistic expression. A handle or furniture part must also feel right, fit and work. We discuss dimensions, surface and metal before making a model.

02

Restoration and reproduction

A fragment, photograph or drawing can guide a missing piece. We consider form, fit, mounting and the original. A photograph alone is not a production drawing.

03

Engineering and small runs

Critical dimensions, loads, alloy and machining may matter. CAD or a technical drawing helps us assess the brief. A 3D preview is not technical approval.

Frequently asked questions

Can you make one component?

A one-off can suit our bespoke work. Method and cost depend on the design.

What should a technical enquiry include?

Send purpose, dimensions, quantity and known tolerances, preferably with a drawing or model.

What do you need for a useful price indication?

Send whatever you already have: a photograph, sketch, drawing, model or file. Dimensions, quantity, intended use and finish help us assess the production route. If anything is missing, we will ask you directly.
