From 3D model to metal casting

You may already see the shape in your mind or on your screen. How does it become a tangible metal object? Send a drawing, photograph or 3D file. We can advise on material, feasibility and finish.

How does it work?

01

Start with the files you have

Preview STEP, STP, STL, OBJ, 3MF or GLB files in 3D on this site. You can also attach DWG, DXF, PDF, photographs and sketches to your enquiry. We review those ourselves; the immediate 3D viewer supports only the listed 3D formats.

02

From digital shape to castable model

A digital design is a starting point. Wall thickness, scale, detail, release and final surface all affect how a form can be made. Together we identify changes or intermediate steps needed to develop a realistic proposal.

03

Choose a material and discuss production

Explore the appearance of bronze, brass, aluminium or copper digitally. The view is an impression, not a technical simulation or a guarantee of alloy or patina. Send your file with dimensions, intended use and quantity so we can discuss the project personally.

04

A CAD model is a starting point for casting

Alongside the file, specify finished dimensions, intended use, quantity and finish. We consider whether details, wall thicknesses and separate parts suit a possible casting route. A printed model for checking the shape may be an intermediate step. This connects the digital design to the physical result.

Frequently asked questions

Can I send STEP or DWG files?

Yes. Attach them to your enquiry. The direct 3D view in the browser accepts STEP, STP, STL, OBJ, 3MF and GLB.

Is the preview a production drawing?

No. It helps you explore shape and material appearance; we assess feasibility and technical requirements separately.

Can my model be enlarged or reduced before casting?

We can investigate this. A change in scale also affects detail, wall thickness and production. We assess the modified shape before making the mould.

Does my CAD file need to be ready for production?

No. Send the version you have and describe what still needs development. We discuss modelling and technical preparation; the online viewer does not automatically approve a design.

What do you need for a useful price indication?

Send whatever you already have: a photograph, sketch, drawing, model or file. Dimensions, quantity, intended use and finish help us assess the production route. If anything is missing, we will ask you directly.
