A vase or a flower bowl?
First consider the flowers you want to place and the space you have for them. A taller vase and a lower, wider bowl have different proportions in relation to the monument. Compare the height, width and depth of your chosen item.
Are there already letters, a lantern or a sculpture? Include them in your decision. The flowers and the object need enough space without covering a name or another important detail.
Consider placement and fixing in advance
Check whether you need a loose, fixed or recessed version. The suitable surface, fixing and any opening required depend on the specific model and the existing situation.
When replacing a vase, photographs of the current vase, base and connection are useful. Note the available dimensions. If necessary, discuss changes to the monument with the manager or stonemason.
Choose materials and finishes that work together
The collection includes vases and bowls in bronze and aluminium. Not every model is available in the same material or finish. The product page shows the available options.
Consider how the shape and finish work with other elements at the place. A set does not have to use identical shapes, but similar proportions and appearance can help you choose. A photograph of existing fittings allows for more specific advice.
Check inserts and instructions for use
Check what comes with your chosen version and whether an insert is needed. Separate components are also available in the collection, but they are not interchangeable. State the item number and version when you enquire.
For outdoor use, ask how that particular vase should be used and cared for. Follow the instructions for the material and insert. Suitability for water and winter use needs to be considered for each version.
